Set in a boarding school in New England in the 1970s, the film introduces you to most of the people at the school. It’s just before Christmas break.
There’s a teacher who is very strict and always yelling, and everyone, including the principal, loves him. He’s so strict that even the parents come to pick him up and he yells at the students who are going to be home for the next forty-five minutes after the sermon at church.
After that, everyone goes home for the Christmas and New Year holidays, leaving only five students, one teacher, and the cook who are left to stay at the school.
These students are very naughty from the start, and the teacher, who was always strict, is even stricter, so we see a lot of things between the students and the teacher.
After this, all four students who were originally assigned to the school go back, and the one student who was not allowed to return, the teacher, the cook, and the rest are left in the boarding school. Gradually, the number of people decreases… This is where the real story begins.
The main plot of this film is about the three of them. The director shows that the three of them are not lonely people in this world, but people who are just there with their own wounds and selves.
The film shows the situations where they become friends from different places, understand each other, and want to warm each other. Not everything is going well.
The troubles and heat are piling up on each other. However, the director was able to beautifully present the scenes that make the troubles warm.
